Matthew Williamson, Genious?

In 1997, a new designer, Matthew Williamson emerged on the catwalk -with models Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, and Jade Jagger fitted in his ensembles- fashionistas, editors, and style gurus began to chatter. His debut designs were a hit, unfortunately since 1997 Williamson has been target of much debate on whether or not his work is genius or amateur.
If it were up to me, I'd list him to be pure genius!! His 10 year anniversary collection, Fall 2007, evokes shear bliss and innovation with an uplifting color palate and polished design. "Known for his evocative sense of color and print, the designer consistently creates modern, feminine, and uplifting fashion. With countless accolades from the finest in the industry and a laundry list of celebrity fans, Matthew Williamson creations are must-haves for every fashionista."
His Fall 2007 line is completely inspired by his 48 hour trip to Tokyo. Aiming for polished and refined, Williamson struck a cord with his interpretation of just that. What's cultured about metallic brocades, flirty frocks, jewel tone satins, encrusted crystals, and vintage furs? Not much...Nonetheless his designs stand out as a courageous and innovative statement. A little advice, however, do not follow the runway look completely - As Coco Chanel would say "When accessorizing, always take off the last thing you put on"
Endnote : Matthew Williamson = <3
